Buyer Critiques

These are actually great. Sturdy and made of vinyl so they can't rust. (Not confident what the earlier reviewer was reviewing but it certain wasn't these!) The only drawback is that if you leave them on all the time you will have to modify the batteries right after about a year of use. Other than that they are totally maintenance no cost and appear fantastic even after being out in the Florida sun for practically two years.

Right after reading reviews of other solar powered outdoor lights, I was worried that these wouldn't work that nicely. I was pleasantly surprised by these lights. I put them in my side yard between the home and a fence. They receive beneficial sunlight for portion of the day but are in the shade for other components (shaded by the fence). Nonetheless, so far they are getting sufficient sunlight to last fairly extended into the night on most days. 1 day when I got up prior to dawn, 3 of the 4 lights were nonetheless on (lasting the entire night). The fourth is a bit far more shaded than the others so it not lasting through the night is expected.
The lights are also sufficiently brilliant for my requirements. It is a dark walkway and they light the path gently but effectively. The ridged casing also makes for an intriguing lighting pattern that is type of neat. They aren't near the brightness of powered lights but I was once more pleasantly shocked. The lights worked perfect out of the box immediately after letting them charge up for a day or two.
Why do not I rate them 5 stars? The enclosure itself is only average aesthetically. They are plastic and the surrounding trim doesn't fit tightly. Nonetheless, I advocate these lights. They operate very nicely for lighting my side yard path, they had been very easy to install, and they final really late into the night. The only outstanding matter is how extended the rechargeable batteries will last. The manual claims about a year but I won't be able to comment on that till next year :-)
